Windsor Great Park

We caught another tantalising glimpse of 2013's spring today. As luck would have it, I was visiting a dear friend in sunny Surrey and we were able to spend the middle of the day in Windsor Great Park.

In the grounds surrounding Virginia Water lake we walked her bouncy schnauzer and watched the sunlight sparkling on the water. I was happy to have a change of scene from Bristol, and indeed step out of the hustle-and-bustle of central London during this peaceful interlude of a weekend away.

The sun shone through the trees and we were able to take off our heavy winter coats for an hour or two as we took some warm(er) air into our lungs. I fear we are not quite out of the cold snap yet, but I can definitely feel spring approaching the corner that it has so elusively avoided turning as of yet this year.
