Hello 2014

As 2013 came to a close I was lucky enough to be able to reflect on the past year from the comfort of a beautiful house in Jersey. I was part of a group of fifteen friends – some old and some very new – who welcomed 2014 in with style, partying in our colourful dresses, my new Kurt Geiger Carvela pumps and dapper suits for the boys.

The next day tender heads were diffused with chilly fresh air, strong winds and the odd drop of rain on a beautiful stretch of beach. It was a simply stunning afternoon running around like crazy across the sand and racing the approaching waves back to dry safety. I wouldn't have spent those early moments if 2014 anywhere else: that beach walk was the perfect New Year's Day antidote.

Here is how the 35mm lens of the Pentax saw it.

  1. Rosie this post is SO beautiful. One of my best ever New Years was spent at a beach party and wandering along the tide in the morning! Classic Rosie combination of beautiful images and stunning writing. Miss you XXX

    1. Why, thank you! I hope you had a fabulous NYE also. Enjoying Tape Parade as ever, especially your gorgeous Twenty-thirteen post – I'm with you on that North America goal (want to do the whole West coast to East coast thing) but maybe not this year! Happy blogging, R xx
