Horizon Festival, Bulgaria

On Saturday 8th March I and some friends took off from a dark runway at Luton Airport and flew to Bulgaria for Horizon Festival at Bansko ski resort.

We spent five days taking to the slopes (although I was a beginner tackling the nurseries, whilst the others cut some shapes on the real runs) and five nights partying to the finest electronica and house music the world has to offer.

Highlights were headliners Bondax and Kerri Chandler on the outdoor mountain stage (the lights and the trees and the snow were truly magical up there), and the nights spent under the flickering lights of Gardenia Hotel's underground venue. And my ski lesson was great of course.

The festival attracted a great crowd and introduced me to skiing, something I intend to pursue and improve from now on. And it was great to explore Bulgarian cuisine and (some) culture in the town itself. It was a truly brilliant week that I would recommend to anyone.

Here is how it looked through the Pentax.
